Some Thoughts on Winter Frisbee

Playing Frisbee in the winter is great.

When you're playing Ultimate outdoors, the disc is going to get wet and tricky to handle but you've just got to get stuck in and if it slips, it slips. Catching wet discs with cold hands is not one of the highlights, I have to admit! Some people like to use gloves for winter Ultimate – 'ball' golf gloves are pretty effective, but don't look very cool.

It's really nice to watch a disc land on ice or snow – if it lands at the right angle it spins round really fast and looks very pretty.

Disc Golf in winter is really great – take some mitts and if it's very cold put a hand warmer inside the mitt of your throwing hand. Winter Disc Golf in Britain is the preferred season for many people because the grass is shorter and the trees have less leaves on them and therefore more forgiving! If you're Disc Golfing in the winter, always carry a towel to keep your discs dry.

So, there are a few thoughts on playing disc activities in winter!
