The Quarry Park Open took place at the weekend. Matt Cutler was relaxed and played positive golf all weekend, picking up birdies here, there and everywhere. The 100 points gives Matt a chance of giving Derek a challenge for the Championship. A win at Beaminster in late July will make things very interesting.

in the Am Division Chris and Richard made the final, Richard coming in 4th and Chris 2nd. The winner was local hero Jessie Denny - over the past 18 months Jessie has made loads of finals, but had never made it over the finish line in 1st place. So it was special win for him which everyone was delighted to see. The 2nd spot for Chris earned him 97 points to put him in the lead for the Am Championships, with Jessie in second spot. Chris' next appearance will be at the St Andrews Open in August. This is a Catch the Spirit sponsored event, so Chris will be well up for it... so watch out Jessie!!!

Jessie kindly put up the CTS crew for the night after the win for a curry and to watch the EUFA finals. In his back garden he has 2 targets set up for close range putting practice... so it goes to show, if you put in the practice, you will succeed!
