Book us for a ‘Frisbee Fun Day’! We can visit your for the day to provide a series of fun and inspiring workshops for all ages and abilities.
Up to 200 children can participate throughout the day, depending on the length of sessions required. With over 6 years of experience in teaching Disc Sports to children in schools throughout the UK, our flexible approach and assortment of discs enable us to tailor each session for the needs of the group. Jaw-dropping demos, red hot coaching points and a host of fun games means everyone will ‘Catch the Spirit’ of the game and become hooked on Frisbee for life!
Disc Sports activities have many learning outcomes, such as hand-eye co-ordination, motor skills, spatial awareness, balance and agility. Also, the self governance aspect of Disc Sports help to promote values of fair play and respect and can be used as a vehicle for developing communication, team work and leadership skills... Below is an overview of what a typical introductory Catch the Spirit Session entails:
Key Stage 1
Ideal number is up to around 12 children, duration 30 to 40 minutes.
- Backhand throwing and crocodile catching techniques
- Practice skills using circle games and ‘speed catch’ game
- Disc Golf putting contest
Key Stage 2
Ideal number is approximately 15 children, duration 40 to 50 minutes.
- Teach backhand and forehand throws, crocodile and crab catching techniques
- Develop and practice skills using a variety of dynamic team games
- Introduce principles of defending, pivoting and cutting
- Play 5 v 5 Ultimate
- Disc Golf putting contest

Key Stage 3 & 4
Ideal number is 15 to 20 participants, duration 50 to 90 minutes.
- Demonstrate and teach the backhand, forehand and hammer throws, crocodile, crab and freestyle catching techniques
- Practice skills using a variety of dynamic games and drills
- Transfer skills and knowledge of offensive and defensive invasion games to Disc Sports context
- Play 5 v 5 Ultimate games, rotating 3 or 4 teams
- Disc Golf putting contest
The sessions usually take place outdoors either in a school yard, playing field or astro-turf during late spring, summer and early autumn. Access to a school gym or sports hall is useful in case the weather is unsuitable or for the winter period.
