Frisbee Dog

For all you dog lovers out there!

Disc dog is the more generic name for what is commonly called Frisbee dog. In disc dog competitions, dogs and their human disc throwers compete in events such as distance catching and somewhat choreographed freestyle catching. The sport celebrates the bond between handler and dog, by allowing them to work together.

'Frisbee Dog' or 'Disc Dog' can be played using just about any disc. Aerobie have designed a disc called the 'Dogobie' which is kind the the gums and durable against teeth. It flies pretty well too. 

There doen't appear to be any Dogobies featured in these video clips though! The discs used are the Discraft Sky Styer and Sky Pro - both excellent for making the disc hover in the air by skillful throwers. Many people like to throw the Aerobie Sprint for their dogs too. All available in our shop!

Frisbee Dog is not yet a mainstream activity in the UK, but who knows what the future will bring?!
